The current sales statistics for industrial process cooling plants provide rising domestic sales for 2017 and foreign sales that will almost reach the level of 2015 again. The statistics are published by the Air-Handling Technology Association of the Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA).
For VDMA members, the current annual report of the Air-Handling Technology Association is available. The statistical report provides detailed production and foreign trade figures for all branches of industry and includes the figures for companies based in Germany from 2015 to 2017.
Domestic business for manufacturers of industrial process cooling showed a good development in 2016. Significant decline in foreign business. For 2017, companies in the sector are expecting further growth.
Refrigeration technology is used in virtually all business sectors, particularly in air conditioning, the food and chemical industry, food retail and in trade. German companies and their high technological competence and innovative power are impressive. Developments in energy efficiency and climate protection are being driven forward with particular urgency.
The customers are increasingly asking for energy-efficient products. The sector anticipates positive stimuli both at home and abroad. Overall, the Air-Handling Technology Association forecast an increase in sales of 2 percent for 2017.
